A typical day's cooking with Sue and Sara

" Dear Sue and Sara,

   I was delighted to receive a gift voucher for the Surrey Hills Cookery School from my Mother in law for my Birthday. I had had no idea what to expect. However, on my arrival, my nervousness dissolved instantly when you opened the door and greeted me with your friendly faces and welcomed me into your kitchen (like an old friend).

After introducing me to my fellow students. I really enjoyed Sara's demonstration of Stuffed chicken with sticky pomegranate sauce. When we took up our own places around the kitchen work surface for some hands on cooking of our own we were really ready. The crab and prawn parcels, looked impressive but were so easy and you both being on hand helped to give us all confidence. It was lovely to be cooking, chatting and having fun with people I had never met before.

I think we were all ready for the fresh coffee and scrummy home made lemon drizzle cake. Then we were off again with more demonstrations and hands on cooking, dishes seemed to go in and out of the oven like magic.

It was lovely to sit around the kitchen table with my new friends to eat a delicious 3 course lunch that was the result of the mornings efforts.

I left feeling inspired with new confidence to try new recipes as well as some great ideas and tips and not forgetting my Crab and prawn parcels and orange poppy seed cake the fruit of my day with you to take home and enjoy.

A great day, thank you both, I will be returning soon for another days cooking in the future.
